'Mogra Saffron' is presented here as 'Kashmiri Saffron'.
Freshly collected Kashmiri saffron flowers and dried in the sun for 3 to 5 days are beaten lightly with sticks, dropped through sieves and the sifted part is put in water, the part that settles down in the water is dried. This best saffron made from the bud part of the flower is called 'Mogra saffron'.
It is as bright as the rising sun, as red as blood and as fragrant as a lotus.
